The president of the Merchants Association Petrer, Mercedes Payá said that it is a "joke" is not fulfilling the contract and continue with the demonstrations and protests. Payá on behalf of the group has urged the government team to listen to neighbors and demand responsibilities to the company.

The representative stated that

In the words of the president, the association has collected over 5,000 signatures to be forwarded to the Councillor for Finance and Services to see that much of the citizenry is against the garbage fee and the contract signed by Hall. Residents and merchants complain that they pay twice a single service, and also the service offered is poor, a position also supported the opposition group formed by the Partido Popular.
